Ahead of assembly polls in Gujarat, BJP President Amit Shah today appointed senior party leader and Union Minister Arun Jaitley as the election in-charge of the State.
Mr. Jaitley will be assisted by Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Dr Jitendra Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman and P P Choudhary to manage the poll affairs.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar will be in-charge of Karnataka poll affairs while Union Minister Minister Piyush Goyal will be co-in charge. Party leader and Union Minister Thawarchand Gehlot will be election in-charge of Himachal Pradesh.
The assembly polls in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh are due later this year while Karnataka will go to poll next year.
